Your Honor;

I am only a friend of a relative of the victim but met Sherry Hampton Sands last year at a woman's church retreat. I can only imagine the pain she Is suffering from loosing both her daughter and granddaughter. I can only sympathize due to the fact that I have not personally lost a family member due to drunk driving. This is such a horrible crime because it is so preventable. We must protect our families on the road and this can be accomplished by removing those who drive while under the influence of alcohol. They must not be allowed to drive since they cannot remain sober (hasn't he been convicted multiple times for this same offense?). The only way we can be assured of him not driving is by putting him behind bars for the rest of his life. He has committed a double murder; to a beautiful young woman and to an innocent child! He must never be allowed to kill someone else again! What would you feel like if another judge set him free for this offense he keeps committing and then kills your child and grandchild? Our criminal justice system Is supposed to protect the innocent. Please do so by putting him behind bars where he cannot kill again.

Sincerely,

Kim Bunnell
