Kimberly Annmarie Sands, 6, died June 10, 2000, in a traffic accident. Born in Apple Valley, she graduated from kindergarten this year with honors from Yucca Loma Elementary School, Apple Valley. Survivors include her grandmother Sherry Hampton-Sands of Apple Valley; grandfather Gary Sands of Del City, Okla.; uncle and aunt Matthew and Annie Sands of Del City, Okla.; great-grandmothers Shirley Hampton of Victorville and Margie Sands of Rockford, Ill.; great-uncle and great-aunt Bill and Cyndie Hampton of Medford, Ore.; great-aunts and great-uncles Sharon and Bud Guinn of Hesperia and Vickie and Larry McKnight of Colorado Springs, Colo.; great-uncle Robert Hampton of Baton Rouge, La.; great-aunt and great-uncle Terry and Joe Atkins of Apple Valley; great-uncle and great-aunt Tim and Rose Hampton of Hesperia; great-uncle John Hampton of Hesperia; second cousins Jesse Hampton of San Diego, Lauryl McKnight of Colorado Springs, Colo., David Atkins of Apple Valley, Brian, Brook, Bree and Brittany Hampton of Hesperia. She was predeceased by great-uncle Mike Hampton of San Diego. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Hi Desert Church in Victorville. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Apple Valley. Donations may be sent to Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Victor Valley Mortuary is handling arrangements.
