~In Memoriam of Wendy and Kimberly Sands~.............

In regards to: The People vs. Jason Dalby

Case # FYI 011829

Probation Officer: James Algae,

San Bernardino County Probation Office

To The Honorable Judge John Tomberline,

Everyday, I drive my son to and from school and pass the home where my friend, Sherry Hampton-Sands lived with her daughter, Wendy and grand-daughter, Kimberlee. There used to be toys in the yard and on the front porch. There used to be a car seat in the car parked in the driveway.

Now, each time I drive by, I am saddened and angered. There are no more toys in the yard. There is no more life.

My friend was robbed of her daughter and grand-daughter. Life was shattered. Wendy had just graduated from college and was ready to take on life. Kimberly was such a happy little girl, full of life and loved to be around people. Then, life was brutally snatched away.

We used to gather weekly in their home for a church meeting. My son enjoyed playing in Kimberly's toy room. It was a home. It had life.

It can never be the same. This family will never be the same. They grieve and live with their loss every single day. Wendy and Kimberly are never forgotten. They leave a void that can never be filled.

Some amount of comfort is found in the knowledge that this murderer, Jason Dalby, is in jail and off our streets. Our community is protected from him at the moment. His recent conviction and prior convictions prove that his motivation in life is to satisfy his own pleasures no matter who is harmed or killed.

Don't gamble on him. Don't gamble with the lives of other families who could lose loved ones and suffer a life of grief.

Respectfully,
Robin K. Coulter
